Adrien Ravon is an architect and academic, engaging in research, teaching and production. 

He has held teaching positions in international institutions, including TU Delft, ETH Zurich, GSAPP Columbia University New York, IAAC Barcelona, and CTU Prague, and has collaborated with numerous institutions worldwide.

Since September 2011, he has been teacher, researcher and project manager at The Why Factory, a think tank at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of TU Delft, led by Winy Maas, co-founder of MVRDV. Between March 2015 and January 2016, he undertook the role of interim coordinator for the Think Tank.

With a strong conceptual thinking as well as practical skills, he has been a key element of consolidation for The Why Factory, and a pilar in the development of The Why Factory’s research agenda, tools, and methodology. He has coordinated research and education projects, been responsible of the production of digital design tools, and actively collaborated in the public dissemination of ideas about the city of the future, through numerous lectures, exhibitions, and publications.

He co-authored The Why Factory’s Future Cities Series publications ‘Green Dip, covering the city with a forest’, ‘(w)Ego, dream homes in density’, ‘PoroCity, opening up solidity’, ‘Copy Paste, the badass copy guide’, ‘Barba, living in a fully adaptable environment’ (nai010 Publishers), and ‘Le Grand Puzzle, Manifesta 13 Marseille’ (Hatje Cantz).

He led the design and implementation of cultural events at the Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven), Manifesta 13 (Marseille), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), PAN (Amsterdam), Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Leiden).

He has worked as an architect, project leader, and consultant for leading architecture firms in Argentina, France, and the Netherlands. At MVRDV, he has been responsible for the kick-off of MVRDV NEXT, a group of in-house specialists, developing and implementing computational workflows and new technologies.

In 2024 he founded AR+, a consulting firm developing sustainable urban and architectural solutions for private companies, academic, cultural, and public institutions.
